WESTMINSTER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DigitalGlobe, a Maxar Technologies company (formerly MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.) (NYSE: MAXR; TSX: MAXR), announced today the launch of Rapid Access Program, a secure, innovative, cloud-based platform seamlessly connecting customers to the world’s highest resolution and most accurate imagery and actionable intelligence. The Rapid Access Program is designed to give customers the flexible and efficient imagery collection they want, over their region of interest, with the highest available priority level on the DigitalGlobe constellation – meaning collections submitted against assigned satellite access time are assured.
Customers log in through a simple, online portal where they can develop collection plans with DigitalGlobe’s five high-resolution satellites. The platform’s intuitive interface for planning and collection optimization, developed by Orbit Logic, a trusted DigitalGlobe partner, allows customers the flexibility to modify collection targets up to 90 minutes prior to image acquisition.
For customers with a Rapid Access Program subscription, DigitalGlobe retrieves, processes, and delivers imagery for viewing, extracting data, and distribution within six hours. Subscribers save the cost of large hardware footprints and antennas associated with typical ground receiving stations. Within the portal, customer imagery is kept in a private archive and DigitalGlobe offers subsequent production of finished imagery for system-ready, view-ready, and map-ready intelligence.
"DigitalGlobe designed the Rapid Access Program to reduce the time needed to gather mission critical insights for confident decision making,” said DigitalGlobe President Dan Jablonsky. “The easy-to-use interface allows customers to focus on their core missions, empowering them to customize geospatial intelligence data priorities and address their most pressing challenges."
